Liver Foundation of Bangladesh

The National Liver Foundation of Bangladesh is a philanthropic organization dedicated to Prevention, Treatment, Education and Research on liver diseases in Bangladesh. Established in April 1999 as Liver Foundation of Bangladesh. Since then the foundation has taken active public awareness campaigns, screening and vaccination in various divisions, districts, universities, colleges, schools and other educational institutes of Bangladesh. The foundation organized conferences for hepatitis B & C patients and their families. Thousands of orphan children of Govt. Children Homes (Shorkari Shishu Poribar) received free screenining and hepatitis B vaccination throughout Bangladesh .Hepatitis centre at the foundation offered free consultation for hepatitis patients. The fundamental concern of the foundation is the patients and families living with liver diseases. As admiration of its dedicated contribution in the national and international arena, the Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has accredited the Liver Foundation of Bangladesh as National Liver Foundation of Bangladesh in November 2014 with the aim to expand & reinforce its activities throughout the nation. The foundation is in official relations with the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA) since its inception. Our mandate is to promote liver health and to eradicate viral hepatitis in Bangladesh. Our vision is to make a centre of excellence for treatment of all kinds of liver diseases in Bangladesh.
